Who Is My Neighbor?

Churches now can have access to detailed, accurate reports about who lives in their communities with a new online mission resource provided by the California Southern Baptist Convention.  A training will be held at Mid-Valley Association office, 825 W. Ashlan Avenue, Clovis, on Tuesday, June 16, 10:00 am.  The training will be led by Daryl Watts. Please call 297-5550 for reservation as space is limited. 

 
 
 

Mid-Valley Association Children's Summer Camp

July 6  -  10, 2009             Quaker Meadows Campground

Get ready for a week of great fun, fellowship, and time in God's Word at Quaker Meadows Christian Camp located in the Sequoia National Forest just 45 miles outside of Porterville.  Mid-Valley Camp is for children who have completed 3rd through 8th grades by June 2009.  The cost of camp is $210/person.  Camp forms and fees are due into the Association office by Thursday, June 25, Noon.  If you have any questions please feel free to contact the Association office at 297-5550 or by email  mvsba@yahoo.com.  All forms have been mailed to churches and are also available here.  We look forward to a great week at camp....see you there!

PREPARE/ENRICH Certification Workshop

The PREPARE/ENRICH Certification Workshop is designed to help facilitators learn how to administer PREPARE/ENRICH and provide feedback to premarital and married couples using six core and over 20 supplemental exercises.  Learn to help couples identify their strengths and growth areas in categories such as Communication, Conflict Resolution, Spiritual Beliefs and Financial Management. 
 
The PREPARE/ENRICH Resource Kit includes:
  • Resource Guide  -  your basic reference for the workshop and the PREPARE/ENRICH materials
  • Sample Reports  -  see what Facilitators and Couples receive when the assessment is complete
  • Couple's Workbook  -  contains over 20 feedback exercises to be used with couples as they review their assessment results and build on their relationship strengths
  • Two Training DVDs  -  sample couple exercises and the entire workshop for participants to review
  • Facilitator's Manual on CD  -  in-depth background material on PREPARE/ENRICH's scientific foundations, administration, and application
  • A complementary scoring credit ($29.95 value)
